It's my 37th birthday today!!! I have been spoiled rotten so far...well, the baby has anyway. Tim and I have agreed that from now until the baby is born we are going to focus on what the baby may need or what I may need during the pregnancy. We have told pretty much everyone to forget gifts for us and focus on the newcomer!
Tim surprised me with a lovely maternity pillow. I may not have a big enough bump as yet, but I can assure you it is definitely comfortable and prevents me from sleeping on my back! It is lush to say the least.
We had dinner with family and friends last night at Thai Emerald and it was delightful, but FILLING!
I am feeling full of energy today and still trying to get over our scare last week.
Last Thursday I had a bit of bleeding...apparently normal in most pregnancies, but scarey as hell when it is yours! The MD said all is ok and we go for another check on Thursday.
We are off to look at baby furniture this evening. We have decided to stay in this house and make it as comfortable as possible...so the nursery is on the top of the list!

Tuesday the 22nd of September
Today is Andy and Peter's birthday. So far, I have worked from home, endured a bit of husband dilemna/trauma early in the morning, cooked a chili, and managed to get all of the laundry in the house done...I guess...all in all, I am feeling pretty darn good right now.
I am still convinced I have felt some "flutters", but I havent felt them in a few days, so I guess I will have to witi and see.
This child was not very nice to my digestive tract yesterday, so today is definitely a better day.
We are looking forward to our next mid wife visit a week from Thursday!

The first blog
We are new to the blogging world, but my mother suggested we do something like this (yes, Penny!). We have thought about the best and easiest medium to keep our family and friends up to date. The wedding web site seemed to work out very well, so we thought we would try the blog thing.
I know certain people are not on FB and other mediums to be kept up to date, such as Drew and Laura...and Lord knows my mom struggles a bit with Internet social networking (sorry Mom), so this is a nice central place for us to store all of our thoughts, feelings, pictures and family evolution!!!
We will be adding pictures as well go as well as stories and updates!
We hope you enjoy as I know we are going to have a blast doing this!

Baby Knowles First pictures

Many of you have already seen the first scan pictures, but in the true keeping of this blog spot...we have decided to add them.
The first was done when mom was over for the wedding and it was done at approx 7 weeks. It isn't much, but we had the opportunity to see (and hear) the heartbeat which was very exciting and made things seem more real.
The second picture was done at 13 weeks. Tim was amazed at how much the little bean jumped around. Stephanie and Andy (mum and dad in law) were also there to see the new addition. The results from all the early tests have come back "normal" or "low-risk" to date...which is always good news when you are 100 and pregnant with your first!!!
I am going on 16 weeks and my body is finally starting to make some obvious changes. I still feel "pudgy", but Tim is able to actually feel a "bump" when I lie flat in the bed.
I also think I have felt a few flutters, of course no one can ever be sure with their first, but I am certain it is a feeling I have never felt before. So...either I have a raging case of never before had gas...or its a bag of popcorn popping in my lower abdomen!
Due date by scan is set for March 10, 1010. We are still hoping for a St.Patty's Day baby (original date set for 17/3/10). Only time and oxytocin will tell!
